Alerts are your Friends

Alerts are your friends. That's it. That's the message. I think it makes sense. Friends help you out in a time of need. Friends can watch your back so you won't be caught off guard when something is about to happen. They're willing to watch the family pet while you're on vacation. I mean who doesn't love a good friend? Alerts are those friends. One of the things that I've been trying to do more is use alerts.  Most of the time I don't use them when they trigger, because I might be in a trade and don't want to flip over. But I believe that using alerts will allow me room for quite a bit of growth because it is my impression that if you can catch multiple moves that have a good probability of working as per a system that is well defined, then you will be more probably to be successful. What I mostly do (I have to interject and say that I do actually trade my alerts from time to time especially when what I have chosen is not moving how I would want it to)....What I mostly do is set alerts and notes on what I want to do if the alert is triggered. Then I go back and check out what actually played out. In that way, it is kind of practice without risking anything. I know that some traders actually set small "starter" orders in place as a kind of alert to follow the position. This is something that I am hoping to work into when I am comfortable holding several positions at once. I think that's all I've got today. Happy trading. Cheers!
