Keep at that Routine
Is there a hardest part of your routine? That one thing that is on the list but it almost might as well not be because you put it off? I was thinking about my list and there are two things that I have on there that I tend not to do and I think it is because they are just easier not to do. One of them takes more effort and the other I think I feel like I just don't know enough about to get all that I can out of going through the process. But I was talking about this yesterday with my wife and came to the conclusion that these two things are on my list because they are something that I know will improve my trading and therefore I need to make them happen. Before I get any further, I guess I'll tell you what those two things are even though that's not really what this is about - making playbooks and reviewing tape. So the idea is that I am doing many of the things that I'm "supposed" to do and it begins to feel monotonous and I sometimes it doesn't feel like I'm breaking through. It is in times like these that we should be reminded that things that are really worth it in the long run usually are slow to develop and when we keep to doing the right things eventually there is a time where things click or the ice actually begins to melt (some metaphor somebody used that I don't remember where it came from where an ice cube doesn't begin to melt if you it way below freezing and the temperature raises on degree. It's only after it gets above freezing that there will be any signs of the ice cube beginning to melt). So that's what I've got to say to me and maybe you reader. Do your routine. You generally know what you need to do to progress from sleeping well, to researching, to executing research etc. After being consistent at do what's right, eventually the ice will begin to melt and you'll see it. Cheers!
