Sleep
Sleep is important. I don't think I can stress it enough. I stayed up Sunday night too late and was able to wake up at the normal time and go through Monday fine, but last night (Monday night) I stayed up late again - not as late, but still too late. The cause was a good one, but really the whole thing should have taken place earlier. I was helping my son with some math homework. As I was going to sleep I was thinking, that I was procrastinating as much as he was, because I was letting him procrastinate since I knew that he had homework that needed to get done but I was letting him watch some shows with me instead of doing his homework. Anyway, Sleep is important. I couldn't get up this morning and go through my normal routine. Maybe one late night wasn't too much for me, but that second night really made me pay the toll. Luckily I don't feel bad, mostly because I didn't struggle to get up early, I just slept. I heard you can't catch up on sleep, so that sleep is just gone and the best thing i can do is start getting back on schedule. I also once heard that the ideal temperature for sleep is 68 degrees. Interesting. Wonder if it's true. Anyone out there have an opinion on the ideal sleep temperature? I like sleeping with some white noise, being warm, but feeling the cool (not cold). Not a fan of the foot sticking out from the covers, but I'm also not a fan of tucked blankets - you know like when you're at a hotel and sheets and covers are super tightly tucked in so you can barely squeeze under. I have to rip those sheets out. Thrashing and kicking until they have been released from the clutches of the mattress. Anyway. Sleep, it's important - you'll be healthier and think clearer if you et good sleep (and other things - like food and exercise). Good day! Cheers!
