Opportunities Abound

 Today I need to remember that missing a trade is ok. I think I worked through it fine, I think we constantly need to remember that there will be more opportunities. They may not all be the same, but opportunities will present themselves.  Today I had some fairly large (for me) orders up in a very active stock and it ripped higher up wo within 3 cents of my orders and back pedaled. No, it backflipped... off a cliff. Oof! I'm pretty good at not chasing and the way this stock was moving I didn't want to try to catch up.  So I had to sit in anguish and wallow in my sorrows. Oh I was so close to calling that top, my levels were practically perfect, oh how much I am missing on this trade. Suck it up Son! Maybe make a play book out of this and see how you might react in the future when something like this sets up and you just miss it. Maybe try some with a little size and ride some of those gains. Anyway, I stuck with the stock and it eventually did give another setup that I caught. The Market ABOUNDS with opportunity! We need to remember that. I'm sure there is a setup that I like happening right now! But I have learned a bit about me and I only have x amount of patience and will power and I don't NEED to stretch those limits. The market will provide if you follow the rules. Part of following the rules is coming to know yourself, having rules for yourself, and following them. Call it whatever you want but a level of self-awareness, adaptability, and discipline are trading essentials (probably market essentials - nay! LIFE essentials!) Gotta love the market. maybe you don't have to but there's a lot to learn and that, to me, is a pleasure. Cheers!
