Attitude Check

Why our attitude matters - It's like service to others - intention makes things better - rubs off on others - world is how we perceive it - might learn better - brighter memories?

These were my notes to a draft I started yesterday. Again, my psychologist and I were talking and she noted how she had a change of attitude before she went to a workout and the workout went better and her trainer even commented that she was in a good mood. People can tell when we're in a good mood or not and sometimes that good mood just lifts the mood for everyone. It makes it easier to talk, easier to do, easier to learn and grow.  And not only for ourselves. When we're in a good mood, I think we are more open to the world around us and seeing how others may feel. And when we smile or are just generally pleasant we are making the world a better place for all others around us - hence it's kind of a service. Note: I should have tried AFRM again. 3rd time would have really been the money maker. Anyway.... As far as trading goes, all of these things are huge benefit. You may think, well, I trade, I'm not really dealing with any people. EER Wrongo! If you have a family, there are people around. And while if there aren't people around, guess what, attitude still affects how you will be deciphering information - and behind the movement of all of those numbers are people making decisions and the job is to read the mood of the people (and the numbers). I think because attitude is so important many traders push being in the right frame of mind through mental exercises or meditation of some kind. Another point to make is that our attitude may be changing throughout the day so we definitely need to check-in on our own attitude during the day to make sure that we are making decisions while thinking straight. Well that's what I've got for today. Have a good day or night wherever you are. Cheers!
