Bears

 I asked, "Son, what should I write about today in my post? Stock market related." And he replied with his teenage vigor, "Bears."  So, I am writing about bears. When I said, "ok" and proceeded to walk away, he was shocked and even said "Really?" I'm not sure he knows how much bears and bulls play in the market, though I do have a hat with a bear pin on it (I have on with a bull pin too - I trade both ways). Anyway Bears because they attack down. Bears because they are big scaredy cats. I remember my brother once telling me how easily many bears are scared away.  This is why shorting will work. Because you will have attack bears and Running away bears at the same time which will drive prices down. This is also why spikes work and you can have crazy parabolic moves to the upside but that is for talk of Bulls). Bears can only go to 0. And that usually isn't likely to happen all at once.  Anyway. I think being a little bear and a little bull is healthy, but it is also important to know when to be what and on what timeframe you are a bear or bull. Like right now long term may seem a bullish with all of the interest rates being cut talk but short term, intra day I might be bearish for 15 minutes. And since I only wanted to write a little bit today. That is enough for now. What do you thing about bears and bulls.
